Our hiring process is designed to help us find out more about you and your strengths, while giving you the opportunity to find out more about us and the role you are applying for.
We believe our process allows you to be at your best — and to do that, you need to understand how the hiring process works.
Application – No Artificial Intelligence at LINX Cargo Care Group
We often receive a high number of applications for our roles and all of them are reviewed personally by our Careers Team. For this reason, it is important to make yours stand out.
Don’t worry if you don’t hear from us immediately as it takes time to review all the CVs and cover letters (both of which are strongly recommended).
Also keep the closing date in mind. If the job listing hasn’t closed yet, chances are the Careers Team are waiting for all applications to come through before starting the review process.

Interview – Put your best foot forward
Whether it’s a phone interview, face-to-face or video interview be sure to do your homework, read up on LINX Cargo Care Group and find out as much as you can about the specific role and business you are applying for. Make sure you think of some questions to ask. If your interview is face-to-face or video, be sure to dress to impress – remember, first impressions count.
When recruiting for a high-volume role, such as Stevedoring, we often run an assessment centre recruitment process. Put simply, this is a recruitment process that combines a range of activities to gauge a group of candidates’ competencies and capabilities. You will be provided with further information ahead of time, but your preparation should be no different to that of a regular interview.
Everyone who joins LINX Cargo Care Group is subject to relevant background checks that must be successfully cleared before an offer of employment can be made. These will include reference checks, a medical (including drug and alcohol testing) and proof of right to work in Australia or New Zealand. A number of our roles will also require a police check and in some instances, a credit and qualifications check. Remember, the faster you can complete these and give us the required information, the faster we can get you on board.
Offer Process – Let’s make it official!
Once all the checks are complete, we will draft an employment contract and send it out to you with some other paperwork for you to complete (such as bank details, superannuation details and a few policy forms for you to read and acknowledge). It is vital that you complete these in a timely and accurate manner and return them.
